About David Wightwick
David Wightwick is an experienced member of the healthcare waste industry, having owned and operated waste facilities throughout the UK for 25 years.
David founded his first waste company in 1996 and pioneered the introduction of alternative treatment for the disposal of healthcare waste in the form of microwave technology. David has since successfully grown several companies from their initial inception to point of sale, including Waste Advisory Services and Ecowaste Group.
Throughout his 25 years, David has also won a selection of national business awards sponsored by Business AM, Edinburgh Technopole, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Evening Times, Learn Direct and many other reputable organisations.
David is a strong advocate for environmental change, sustainability, and reducing the overall environmental impact of healthcare waste disposal.
Peter Wightwick

About Peter Wightwick
Peter Wightwick is affectionately known as ‘the waste geek’ and has been a member of the clinical waste industry since 2001.
Peter has worked at all levels throughout the waste management process from initial beginnings as a waste handler to eventually founding Waste Advisory Services Training & Education. After a successful merger with Ecowaste Group, Peter acted as a consultant waste specialist in compliance, legislation, business management and strategy.
After the sale of Ecowaste Group, Peter founded Cliniwaste as a waste consultancy firm picking up contracts from smaller waste producers around Scotland. Industry issues from the collapse of a large waste company led to the creation of Cliniwaste Health with other ELT members.
Peter holds relevant WAMITAB qualifications and has a keen interest in waste legislation, management, and strategic planning.
Lee Wightwick

About Lee Wightwick
Lee Wightwick joined the clinical waste industry in 1996, assisting with the foundation of Waste Advisory Services managing operations and logistics for NHS Trusts throughout Scotland.
Lee has continually created and introduced operational and service improvements that have been implemented and are now commonplace throughout the industry. This includes the first systems for colour coding wastes, training and education of NHS staff, regular waste auditing to improve service provision and twin-bin systems to name just a few.
Lee is a family orientated individual with a large focus on implementing new technology and systems, continually improving the operational efficiency of Cliniwaste systems and processes.

About Craig Johnston
With a diverse background across multiple market sectors, Craig Johnston is experienced in management & business development and brings an infectious enthusiasm to everything he does.
A seasoned martial artist who in his youth represented Scotland internationally, Craig is also a veteran of HM Forces and prides himself on his military background. This is demonstrated with his approach to work and his ability to perform under pressure whilst being quick to adapt to ever changing situations; ideal for operating in the fast-paced clinical waste sector.

About Kerry-Anne Burton
Kerry is a chartered and resource waste manager with CIWM, having worked in the waste industry for over a decade. With time also spent previously working in an ERF/HTI facility, she brings her wealth of knowledge and expertise to our growing organisation as an invaluable asset.

Having worked in the hazardous waste industry for the last 24 years, Lee has vast experience and knowledge across the sector. He brings his management skills and experience in waste management to the group and oversees all operations in England.

Emma Tsakiri joins Cliniwaste as Financial Controller, leading the Accounts and Finance of the full company. Emma has worked in the finance industry for 29 years, and as a result brings years of knowledge, experience and expertise of various sectors to Cliniwaste.
